CURRENT PROJECTS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

MINERAL WELLS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

New Stadium

This project consists of a new football/soccer stadium including a RealGrass synthetic turf system by Hellas Construction, Inc. with running track.  Building structures include the stadium facility with seating for 7,000, a 10,500 square foot field house, concession and restroom facility, and a two-story press box.

Jr. High School Classroom and Gymnasium Additions

This project includes a new gymnasium along with an eight classroom addition at the existing campus.

WAXAHACHIE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Wilemon Building Phase II

Renovations to the first and second floors, and site work are underway.  This building will be used for an Alternative High School and is valued at $4.5 million to be complete in August 2007.

JACKSBORO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

New Elementary School

This campus will include a new building and associated parking and drive areas.  The school is 80,000 square feet consisting of classrooms, administrative offices, special program areas, media center, cafeteria and a gymnasium.

New High School

This campus will include a new building with associated parking and drive areas, agricultural sciences building, track facility, field house and a baseball/softball complex.  The building is approximately 105,000 sf and will contain classrooms, administrative offices, media center, science labs, special program areas (including Family Consumer Sciences and Band Hall/Fine Arts), cafeteria and a gymnasium with dressing rooms and office areas.

PALESTINE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Northside and Southside Elementary Schools and Vocational Building

This renovation project is for the Northside and Southside Elementary Schools, and Palestine High School’s Vocational Building.  Work includes a new asphalt road at Northside Elementary School.  The Vocational Building will have demolition of the existing roof, new roofing, new HVAC equipment and ductwork, acoustical ceilings and painting.

ALEDO INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Patricia Dean Boswell McCall Elementary School

Construction for a new 85,000 square foot building is underway.  This project was one of several 2005 bond package projects that Buford-Thompson Company managed for Aledo ISD.  Other projects already complete include a new alternative education facility, new paving at Vandagriff Elementary School, additions and renovations to Coder Elementary School, new paving at the North Transportation Facility, additions and renovations to Aledo High School to include a new athletic stadium, tennis courts, addition to Aledo Middle School, and additions and renovations to Stuard Elementary School.

ARLINGTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

2007 Summer Work

Buford-Thompson Company was selected to perform interior renovations to Bebensee, Ellis, Farrell and Starrett Elementary schools for completion in August 2007.  Work includes extending existing corridor walls, doors and hardware, painting, replacing acoustical ceiling, installing fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and HVAC.

GRANBURY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Construction is underway for a new agricultural program animal barn, High School baseball field and tennis court renovations and additions, as well as additions and renovations to numerous elementary and intermediate schools for Granbury ISD. 

CROWLEY INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Crowley Intermediate School #12

Construction for this project consists of a new 80,000 square foot Intermediate School.  We recently completed T.E.A. compliances, emergency lighting and paving at multiple campuses. 

 Crowley Additions and Renovations

The scope of this work includes library and classroom additions and renovations at several Elementary Schools.  Also included are new tennis courts, a new pre-engineered Maintenance Storage Facility, new structural coat at the High School track, as well as curb repair, asphalt base preparation and track resurfacing.

MIDLOTHIAN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

Additions and Renovations to Midlothian High School

This project consists of major renovations and new additions that will connect the existing North Campus to the existing South Campus.  This $39.5M project has been under construction while school is in session and is scheduled for final completion in August 2007.
